Superb lunch on Saturday, food as always was tasty and beautifully presented. Staff always helpful and welcoming.
I came in for a meal with my partner and his family for a meal to celebrate his birthday. We came in 10/11/18. Food was amazing, staff were very friendly and service was as expected, not slow and we were not rushed. Wine choice was excellent.
Nice atmosphere with good service. Excellent cuisine well presented and good wines The duck is highly recommended. Possibly not the cheapest menu in town but, as ever, you generally get what you pay. We would visit again without hesitation.
The food served left a lot to be desired. Honestly, Goodfellows you can do better than this, surely? Fatty roast dinner, half cooked veggies and tough duck!! The two stars are for the friendly and courteous staff and the second star for the ambiance of the restaurant. Other than that, I wont be going back to this restaurant and would not recommend.
A very disappointing meal. Service was slow and some of the food was sub standard. Roast pork was awful, full of fat. Roast potatoes tasted old and some of the vegetables were undercooked. My partner had the vegetarian option which was vegetable bake but, basically, a few chopped up vegetables in soy sauce. Disappointing to say the least. The puddings were appetising to look at but bland in taste. The meals were expensive but not worth the money they cost. Would not recommend.
