I recently purchased my Jaguar XJ8 Sport from Affordable Prestige Cars. I travelled a fair way to view the car as I was quite particular with the specification I wanted. The car was accurately described and was presented in excellent condition with a thorough service history. I was given space to thoroughly inspect the car myself and after the test drive I quickly decided it was the car for me. Nicks in depth knowledge of what I was buying and no pressure 'take your time' approach gave me the confidence that this was a dealership I would be happy to do business with. The fact that the dealership owned the car rather than selling a customers car on commission was an important factor for me. Nick arranged for additional work to be done quickly, he kept me updated regularly and did what he said he would do. The car was sold with a new service and MOT as I requested. I phoned them on Friday to view an X-Type Jaguar the following day on the Saturday (21st July) morning. After being disappointed with viewing a similarly priced car locally, we werent too optimistic about what we would see, as the previous car was quite scruffy. However, the ad said best condition for price, so my wife & I took the gamble and drove the 2-hours (plus) to get to Affordable Prestige Cars in Wells. When we arrived we were greeted by Kevin and Les (sorry if Ive got your names wrong). I felt they were the nicest and humblest salespeople I have ever come across; even with continual offers of coffee and tea. The car? It was not just best condition for price but IMMACULATE. It had the fullest service record I have ever seen for any car; with low mileage and in excellent showroom condition. Perfect in every way! After a test-drive there was no haggling from me (not that I do that sort of thing anyway), as I knew we had found a diamond in the coal. Bought it on the spot and it was sold to us, including a warranty, to drive away there and then; so no worrying about transport issues getting me back to Wells.We stopped at Cheddar Gorge, for a Cream Tea, before the journey back to Plymouth; and I had the biggest smile on my face all the way home on the M5. I wish all my dealings with car purchasing were as pleasant as this was. If I ever need to get another car, I wont be going anywhere else. Id like to thank everyone at Affordable Prestige Cars that helped with the purchase, including Tom (whom I phoned on the previous day). He wasnt there on the day that I arrived, but he made all the necessary arrangements for me to see the car, for when I arrived to view.
