Weve always had really good food here. Great service without being intrusive. Steaks are great.
The staff were very helpful and the room was tiny but quaint. I had a lovely wooden canopy bed and there were tea, coffee and water inn the room. A couple of minor issues were the bathroom door wouldn't close, the shower door didn't close so there was restricted space and the floor got very wet. The creamer on the coffee tray was out of date and curdled in the coffee. I ordered Eggs Florentine for breakfast and the "soft poached eggs" were completely solid and inedible. I did have a nice stay though and it was very cheap so I suppose you get what you pay for.

I am absolutely disgustedafter months of contacting / visiting them for a Christmas Day menu find they are fully booked. Not one person from the hotel/bistro contacted me with either the menu or information they were fully booked. I don't believe they had any intention to advertise the menu because they know they had forward bookings Customer service a disgrace. As a local I am not impressed and of course (not) would ever recommend. Any way ourselves and guests of 10 will have to find somewhere else to celebrate
Stayed at The Crown for 1 night. Were given a room overlooking the market place. There was an imposing 4 poster bed covered in white crisp sheets with soft white fluffy towels. The breakfast had an enormous choice of cereals, cold drinks tea and coffee. The cooked was delicious with a great choice. The staff were polite and helpful and gave us good advice how to find the hotel car park on market day. The weather unfortunately very wet. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any visitor
