Very comfortable pub comment saying generous portions of typical but good pub food. It is very family friendly and with lots of corners and angles to sit in comfortably or so as a family group comment including very good changing facilities. The service is good and friendly, however expect to pay everything up front at the bar.
Lovely pub, really friendly, missed last bus, due to schedule change, because of road works. Had to wait for lift. Food was freshly cooked, really tasty chicken burger, lovely salad, nice home made chips and onion rings. Will definitely recommend, and will return.

Interesting place that alleges to be the former jail of Wells. Two parts to the building with a joining corridor linking the two areas; a courtyard is in between the two as well. Main right hand area tends to busy with food orders, but the quieter left area is good for a drink. Nice range of cask ales.
