Absolutely brilliant service I can't fault it not at all thank you very much for all your help with my bracelet I love and my wife loves it as well

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent range of new and second hand jewellery

Treated wonderfully, can't believe the negative reviews on here! Peter Cheers (who I understand to be in charge) was intensely helpful, and a very charming fellow. The only comment I would make is that he's a bit eccentric. I had bought a ring online, not even from them, and asked for it to be engraved (which was done so wonderfully) and they couldn't have been more helpful! My only slight negative; It did take a little longer than 3 weeks, and we had to contact them in the end to find out if it had been done.

I dont normally write reviews, however I thought I would sing the praises of Studleys and the friendly staff member who served me (Peter?). I must have been in the shop for about 2 hours trying on items and the member of staff was extremely patient and even went and got myself and my partner a cup of tea while we deliberated. Would highly recommend and was very impressed by the depth of knowledge and friendly service. Will certainly come again.

I bought my fiance's ring from here, a very nice antique ring. After wearing the ring for a short period of time, one of the diamonds fell out, and another had a crack in it (this was despite appropriate care). Studley's acknowledged the diamond should not have fallen out and so agreed to replace it (they said this would be 2 weeks, it was closer to 5). I had mentioned the crack when I first returned the ring, and several times when calling to check on progress, but was continually ignored on this issue, until we came to collect the ring and pointed out the cracked diamond was still there. This was belatedly acknowledged (after several unrelated excuses were made), and they agreed to change the cracked diamond. When the cracked diamond was eventually replaced, its replacement was obviously of a lower quality and was of a significantly lower clarity than the others (if I can spot this, a jeweler knows perfectly well what they're doing). We again had to ask for this to replaced with something of the original quality. On the final time we came to collect the ring 2 of the smaller diamonds were missing from the ring. I rang and spoke to the manager, Peter Cheers. He said he did not know the diamonds were not there, but suggested it didn't matter because the diamonds wouldn't be worth much anyway. I wonder if he'd feel the same if I walked into his shop and took something without paying for it, but exclaimed, 'oh don't worry, that's not worth very much'. I explained that my fiance was actually perfectly happy with how the ring looked, but from my point of view, I had not be asked, or even told that 2 diamonds would be taken off, and then my complaint was treated as insignificant and inconvenient. When buying this ring I was paying for the raw materials and the craftsmanship; the ring fell to pieces, and then the jewelers continued to try and replace with lower quality materials or take them altogether. I understand this is the risk of buying an antique ring, but it is also the risk of selling one. Studleys continually dragged their feet over everything, and tried to short change us wherever possible. I was eventually agreed to reimburse me 100 for the diamonds that had been taken. We are now very happy with the ring, but Studleys made what should have been a nice experience really unpleasant. Other members of staff handled our complaints well, but Mr Cheers did so with arrogance and disregard.
